While studying degrees in Human Movement as well as Food and Nutrition Science, Jason developed practical skills through his association with:

After graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement) from the University of South Australia in 2018, Jason began working in exercise and nutrition, applying his training across a wide range of clients and abilities under Riggs Physiology. He went on to complete a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology through UNE, becoming accredited as an AEP and AES with ESSA in 2021.
Since accreditation, Jason has worked across a broad range of funding streams including NDIS, Medicare, RTWSA, Disability Supports for Older Australians (DSOA), aged care, and private billing — gaining extensive clinical experience with some of the most complex and rewarding presentations in exercise physiology.
His clinical experience spans a wide range of conditions and populations, including:
Neurological & Physical Disabilities Spinal cord injury, acquired brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, cerebral palsy, amputation, post-polio, Guillain-Barré syndrome, motor neurone disease, muscular dystrophy, vestibular disorders, functional neurological disorder (FND), and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS).
Musculoskeletal & Metabolic Conditions Osteoporosis, arthritis, osteogenesis imperfecta, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), chronic pain, musculoskeletal injuries, metabolic disease, and cardiovascular disease.
Cancer & Oncology Rehabilitation Breast cancer, prostate cancer, and illness-related deconditioning.
Mental Health & Psychosocial PTSD, agoraphobia, psychosocial disability, and anxiety-related conditions.
Women’s Health Perimenopause and post-menopause.
Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Down syndrome, and other genetic conditions.
Aged Care & Cognitive Decline Dementia, age-related mobility and cognitive decline, falls prevention and recovery, and post-surgical rehabilitation.
Areas of Special Interest Jason has developed particular expertise in spinal cord injury (SCI), bone mineral density (BMD), and shoulder function and rehabilitation.
